Victor Potter - Organist and Director of Music

Victor is a Senior Fellow of the North and Midlands School of Music (Snr FNMSM),holds a certificate in Sacred Music Studies from the Royal School of Church Music (Cert RSCM), a Fellow of the Academy of St Cecilia (FASC) and a Licentiate of the Guild of Musicians and Singers (LGMS). He is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (MISM), the Association of British Choral Directors and a Consultant to the Sussex Area Committee of the Royal School of Church Music. Previous church appointments include St Martin's, Dorking, the home church of the late Ralph Vaughan Williams, and St Michael and All Angels, Brighton.

Victor is a Director of The Eastbourne Festival CIC, the company which is responsible for the strategy, organisation and administration of the annual Eastbourne Festival ( He is also Project Leader and Director of LuxAeterna, an occasional early music chamber choir based at Eastbourne Parish Church ( and Director of the Daytime Community Choir, Seaside Harmonies, at Age Concern, Eastbourne both of which meet in term time.

Victor is available as a freelance recitalist, choral conductor and workshop leader and for professional tuition for organ and music theory .

Sarah Potter - Junior Choir Leader

Sarah is responsible for the Junior Choir at St Mary's. A student of Elizabeth Muir-Lewis
she is an experienced mezzo-soprano, known for her recitals in the Brighton Festival Fringe, the Eastbourne Festival and elsewhere. She is also an accomplished author and playwright. She wrote the words and music and produced her mystery play 'Dust to Glory' at St Mary's, the cast of which included members of the clergy and choir. Sarah won the Anderida Writers Circle Short Story Competition and was a runner up in the international Aesthetica Short Story Competition.

She holds a Higher Education Certificate in Theology from the Open Theological College.
